Ever thought about exploring your spirituality? We are all spiritual beings, but working out what that means and whether it actually matters to your life is not always easy.

The breathe... community is on a journey. And we invite you to join with us on that journey of exploration, of growing in friendships, of loving and serving others in genuine and meaningful ways.

We may not have all the answers (in fact we are sure we don’t!) but we are pretty sure that together we will have a great time exploring ways to live a life that is powered by authentic, meaningful, and freeing spirituality. A life that makes a real difference to those around us, our community and our world.

Our community is committed to being “good news” in Wentworth Point and beyond by offering...

Inclusion... love - authenticity- friendship
Freedom ... exploration- engagement - experience
Purpose ... awareness- compassion – action

Power ... restoration - transformation- partnership

May Update...

Sunday Gatherings in May

6:30pm Sundays (except the last of the month) Breathe will be gathering in the Waterfront Function Centre to examine more of the big questions of life and spirituality. How do we think spiritually about the everyday things of life like work, finances, friendships, family and more? There are the everyday realities we see, but is that all there is to consider in how we live? Or are there many layers to our existence that can bring us helpful perspectives if we explore them? All are welcome to come along and explore.

English Conversation Group meets weekly

Due to the success of ECG the group is now running 7:30pm each Wednesday night (except the last of the month) at the Wentworth Point Community Library, in the Piazza Wentworth Point. Its a safe and relaxed space to practice English conversation skills with our friendly trained facilitators and others who are seeking to learn. Could you or anyone you know benefit? Contact Michael Villis: 0402908147.

Vinnies Team grows again!

Recently  we have seen our team that shares food and friendship with our friends who are living rough in Penrith and Parramatta growing further. Some have done training with St Vincent de Paul, others are still exploring the idea by talking with team members. A new team member who recently did their first Vinnies run commented on what a humbling experience it was, whilst others continue to look forward to their next opportunity to go out on the team. Would you or someone you know like more info? Contact Kath Simmonds: 0401972649. Next run is from 6:30pm May 26.

Prayer for Wentworth Point

7:00pm Monday May 14 will be another great opportunity for Jesus’ followers from different churches to come together based on their common ground... their love for Jesus and their home suburb of Wentworth Point. All welcome to Nicole’s to be part of the prayer partnership! Contact Nicole for more info This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Wed- Thurs May 23-24 “Following Fire: Signs and Wonders Where They’re Most Needed” Seminar

This seminar sounds great- it will explore how to move from an intense personal spiritual life to an active community engagement without losing the intensity of your personal prayer life and personal relationship with Jesus.

Cost: $100. Book with Lisa: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

You might have just read that and be thinking: I don’t have much of a spiritual life at all – my prayer life is limited, spasmodic and when it happens, distant and mechanical…. If that is you, then this seminar will offer you tools and practical advice to rekindle that side of your faith expression – without sacrificing active community engagement and zeal for social justice in the process. Moving in signs and wonders will also be explored and the question will be asked: how do I mix into a healthy balance, the three different important things: works, words and wonders?

With Bob and Grace Ekblad, Darryl Gardiner, and Jon Owen (our friend from Urban Neighbours of Hope Mt Druitt). Plus  Jean Vanier, and Martin Robinson from the UK (Martin is with the Church of Christ and Springvale College Connection, historian, church planter) will be skyping in.
